The Arts Society East Midlands Area is a part of The Arts Society, a leading arts education charity providing high quality lectures to members nationally and internationally.

The East Midlands Area consists of 19 Societies spread across 6 counties - from Gainsborough in the North, Northampton in the South, Sleaford in the East, and Ashbourne in the West.

These societies offer our members a vast array of monthly Lectures, Special Interest Days, Study Days and Visits to our country’s most beautiful museums, buildings and gardens.  It is planned that the East Midlands Area will be promoting multi-Society events in the near future.

A recent cooperative endeavour across the East Midlands Area resulted in the publication Fifty Treasures Of The East Midlands Area - a glossy collection of beautiful photographs and local information which bring together ideas for our members, their families and friends to enjoy.  See more here

Some of our societies also provide the opportunity to their members to enjoy specially organised overseas trips as well as the extraordinary opportunities to attend special events curated for those who share a passion for the arts, history, culture and heritage.

We benefit hugely from our parent The Arts Society's Directory of expert lecturers with specialist knowledge of the arts and various subjects,  all highly accredited through a rigorous process to ensure that our members enjoy and get inspired by our artistic heritage.
